Website provides information and support for  foster care, adoption, advocacy and New York State services.

http://www.ocfs.state.ny.us/main                  NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF CHILDREN & FAMILY SERVICES – Government website that includes Foster Care and Adoption resources. Includes forms, publications, agency listings and telephone numbers.

http://www.nyc.gov/html/acs/html/home/home.shtml                                    NEW YORK CITY ADMINISTRATION FOR CHILDREN’S SERVICES –  ACS is New York City’s child welfare agency.  The web site includes information on becoming a foster or adoptive parent and their support services.

 http://www.birthquest.org       BIRTHQUEST – An International Organization Dedicated to Searching Adoptees, Birth Parents, Adoptive Parents and Siblings.  Separate tabs for all functions.

http://anybirthday.com ANY BIRTHDAY DATABASE - Public records birth date database with over 400,000,000 public birth records.  Anybirthdate homepage links to the fee based Public Records Pro birth record database.

www.genesearch.com    GENESEARCH.COM - Professional genealogist website that lists links to adoption search registries and reunion resources by state.  Link to Social Security Death Index and other people locator tools as well as genealogy resources.

http://www.spence-chapin.org   SPENCE-CHAPIN ADOPTION SERVICES – Website of an accredited nonprofit agency that has been offering quality adoption services for over 100 years. Includes a post-adoption services page with a resource library listing books and articles.

http://www.adoptioninstitute.org/index.php EVAN B. DONALDSON ADOPTION INSTITUTE – The institute focuses on research, policy and legal issues to improve adoption laws, policies and practices. Website includes statistics, surveys, and policy and practice papers, along with links to current initiatives, conferences and events.
